CASE – DAMON ALBARN

Live from Shakespeare’s Globe in London

Damon Albarn sought to create a very special evening ahead of the release of his album ‘The Nearer the Fountain, More Pure the Stream Flows’. His vision was to perform at Shakespeare’s Globe in London with plenty of musical guest appearances as well as a string quartet.
Given that the venue capacity is limited to 1,500 people, extending the experience digitally made this event financially possible. Eleven Management and Transgressive Records enlisted Doors to execute the livestream.
Doors worked closely with Up The Game for the broadcast production of the event, including organising high bandwidth uplinks from the venue to ensure low latency yet achieve high quality audio and video.
Furthermore, together with Eleven management and Transgressive Records, a marketing and communication plan was developed and subsequently executed – inclusive of content creation.
A limited edition T-shirt was designed by Damon Albarn and, through Doors, sustainably (Earth Positive) manufactured in the UK to accompany the ticket sales.
The show was livestreamed in multiple time zones with moderated chats, and ticket prices were balanced through Doors’ Global Price Index.
Doors was able to extend the event live online to fans in 70+ countries around the world.
